Food 4/5 If you're craving okonomiyaki, this is the spot! Although their portion for Okonomiyaki is quite small (see picture). Food is standard, nothing too crazy. Service 5/5 Waiters are attentive and we got seated right away when they opened. Ambiance 4/5 The usual ambiance for a sushi/japanese place. It is more spacious compared to other Japanese restaurants.

If you've got an okonomiyaki craving then this place will hit the spot for sure. - we got the cheese and pork one, and another beef one with yakisoba noodles on top - overall taste and flavors were pretty solid and the portions are large - tip: it takes ~25 minutes for the okonomiyaki to come out so keep that in mind when ordering! - this place is also in another restaurant but you can order from both! - service was fairly solid although a friend had to ask for water a few times

I don't think there's a lot of places in the Bay to grab okonomiyaki, and I definitely didn't expect to find Fugetsu inside another restaurant? Shoutout to the tips in other reviews saying Fugetsu's menu is being served at Rokko! I got the regular seafood okonomiyaki not knowing there wouldn't be any noodles in it because I'm that bad at reading the menu...oops. The okonomiyaki was still good though, and it had the saucy richness you want after a long day. The deluxe okonomiyaki was definitely better thanks to the egg and pork belly! Pork belly was flavorful and nicely crispy on the edges. Service was decent, and you can tell this is the kind of place you go to for drinks and shareable plates. Overall, okonomiyaki was enjoyable!

Decent spot for okonomiyaki! I was craving okonomiyaki and I feel not many places in the Bay specialize in it. I ordered a regular seafood okonomiyaki and it was delicious- the pieces of seafood were large and fresh tasting, paired really well with the pancake. I've had better okonomiyaki elsewhere, but this still satisfied my craving! Towards the end of the meal it did feel pretty salty, and the pancake maybe could have been a bit crispier or more solidly formed(?). But otherwise it was a yummy meal, and not too pricy! It comes out on a hot cast iron plate and at first I thought it looked a bit small but it was actually a perfect portion. Staff was friendly and attentive, restaurant interior is pretty clean but did feel a bit dimly lit. Parking is kinda busy since it's downtown Sunnyvale, and other reviews mention it too but it's located in Rokko's Japanese cuisine, the signage outside doesn't say Fugetsu.

They offer family platters for 2-3 and 4-5 people. I don't know why more restaurants don't do this. It's a great way to try a bunch of their popular dishes and not over or under order. Although, I've never been one to under order. Anyways, we got the B platter for 2-3 people, then added a karaage appetizer to it as well. There were 3 people in our group and just a few leftovers. Everything but the takoyaki was pretty decent. Takoyaki was all filling. It's just not a great takeout item I think. Otherwise, they have a sign on the door but the main door is advertising another restaurant. All signage in the space is of them too so you only know it's Fugestsu if you ask the staff. Anyways, aside from the slight confusion picking the food up, the group really liked it.

I've never tried okonomiyaki so I wanted to try this place out. This place is in a restaurant called Rokko so it almost made us miss the place when driving by since the outside sign only displays Rokko. The menu had lots of options to choose from as it's 2 restaurants in one: Rokko and Fugetsu. Shrimp & Veggie Tempura: 4.5/5 A great variety of shrimp and assorted veggies! Very generous and included 4 shrimp tempura. Very fresh and crispy. Okonomiyaki Sampler: 3.5/5 4 mini okonomiyaki which includes Ebi mayo, Negi-tsukimi pork and Gyusuki negitama, and Cheese. The shredded cabbage base sort of reminds me of hash browns. Wish we got the noodle version AKA modanyaki! Service was amazing, our server was so friendly and was constantly checking up on our table! I'll come back to try the modanyaki next time! Check this place out if you want to try okonomiyaki!

Fugetsu is essentially combined with Rokko in downtown Sunnyvale, and even the menus for the two places are combined into one big menu. We've tried the food from Rokko in the past but decided to try Fugetsu's okonomiyaki and yakisoba this time around! There was no wait to sit at the bar at around 6:30pm on a Friday (table would have been a ~20 minute wait according to the host). Service was prompt and our food also came out in a reasonable amount of time, especially since the menu says to expect a 20-30 min wait for okonomiyaki and modanyaki. We tried the negi-tsukimi pork modanyaki (noodles on top of okonomiyaki) and the gyusuki yakisoba. The modanyaki came with green onions and an egg on top, and it was delicious. The flavors worked well together, the green onions added a nice freshness, and I really liked the crispy noodles on top! The yakisoba was also fantastic and the beef it came with was nice and tender. Portions were quite sizable and we had some leftovers to take home with us too!
